What makes us experts in the aircraft industry?  Our master sheet metal technicians, engine specialists, airframe and powerplant mechanics, and mechanics assistants are the experts.  We have a staff of sixteen, ten of which are master sheet metal mechanics.  They have over 350 years combined experience in aviation.  They ARE Hampton Aviation, Inc.


Administrative


Vernon Hampton, President

Vernon is a pilot as well as an airframe and powerplant mechanic with inspection authorization.  He has been in the aviation industry for 30 years, starting when he was merely 14 years old.  Vernon has extensive experience in general aviation, corporate aviation, commuter airlines, repair design and repair station management.  Vernon is always ready to provide you with a free estimate and advise you on your repair options.                     vernon@hamptonaviation.com


Fred Hampton, Vice President

Fred is the founder of Hampton Aviation, Inc.  He is a pilot as well as an aviation mechanic and has been in the industry for 45 years.  Fred is now retired, but set the standard many years ago for quality repairs and customer service.


Larry Davis, Director of Maintenance

Larry has 33 years of experience in aviation and has his airframe mechanics license.  He helps keep the shop running smoothly by managing the production on the shop floor.  Larry started working for Fred years ago when he was only 14 years old.  larry@hamptonaviation.com


 

Phyllis Caldwell, Office Manager

Phyllis has 32 years experience in the aviation industry beginning in sheet metal repairs with most of her experience in aviation administration and management.  She also oversees our parts department, which includes parts ordering and inventory.      phyllis@hamptonaviation.com


Melissa Hampton, Administrative Assistant

Melissa has 5 years of aviation experience.  She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor of Business Administration.  Melissa has many responsibilities including the creation and maintenance of this website.     melissa@hamptonaviation.com


 

 Corporate Pilot


Melvern "Mick" Nelson, Corporate Pilot

Mick has been a pilot for 53 years and is type rated in single, multi, turbine, commercial, instrument, seaplane and CFI.  He was formarly a Falcon Jet pilot, Alaskan Bush pilot, and currently a test pilot.  He is an airframe and powerplant mechanic with an inspection authorization.  He has had his A & P for 46 years and his IA for 38 years.


 

Mechanics


Wayne Pate, Sheet Metal Mechanic

Wayne has been in the industry for 35 years.  He is a master sheet metal mechanic and proficient in all aspects of structural work. 


Willie Hale, Engine Mechanic

Willie has 29 years experience in the aviation industry.  He specializes in the tear down and inspection and rebuilding of aircraft engines.


Glynn Stewart, Sheet Metal Mechanic

Glynn has been in the aviation business for 27 years.  He has specialized training in several fields which include Fokker, PT6 line maintenance and troubleshooting, Garrett, Metro maintenance and familiarization and basic electricity.


 

Tim O'Flinn, Sheet Metal Mechanic

Tim has been in the aviation field for 27 years.  He started off with a 14 year career in the air force.  He worked on both large and small aircraft specializing in the C130, B1B Bomber, and the A10A.  He also has training in basic electricity and composites.


 

Bill Tapley, Sheet Metal Mechanic

Bill has a total of 27 years of aviation experience.  The first 20 years of his career was in Naval aviation with the last 7 being in general aviation.  Bill has completed many aviation schools including:  structural mechanic, advanced composite, hydraulic and pneumatic, basic electrical, Beech 1900D and King Air 200 initial school.  He is also Mag Particle Level II certified.


Dan Loomis, General Mechanic

Dan has 21 years of experience in aviation.  He has his airframe and powerplant mechanics license and is dye penetrant level III and mag particle certified.  Dan is also a pilot.


Chuck Schell, Sheet Metal Mechanic

Chuck has a total of 12 years in the aviation industry.  He has his airframe license and RJ certification.  Chuck has also completed his training in composites.


Greg Davis, Sheet Metal Mechanic

Greg has 7 years of aviation experience.  His primary experience lies in structural sheet metal repair along with fabricating and installing parts.  He began his training at Hampton Aviation, Inc. when he was a freshman at Mena High School.


Bryan Johnson, Sheet Metal Mechanic

Bryan has a total of 5 years aviation experience.  His first two years were spent working on aircraft interiors.  He has been doing sheet metal repairs for the last two years.


Russell Lane, Sheet Metal Mechanic

Russell graduated from Southern Arkansas University with his airframe and powerplant license and is training to specialize in our sheet metal department.

Lexi has been with us for 2 years.  She has no purpose other than to brighten everyone's day.  She is always happy to see a new face and glad to welcome you to our business.  She even likes to fly!
